Chris had been working as a shop helper/mechanic at the Tarrant shop at APAC-Alabama, Inc. Paving since August of last year when one of his managers asked if he might be interested in earning his commercial driver's license (CDL) to operate a Class A vehicle. Getting a CDL would open up more opportunities to advance in his career at APAC-Alabama, Inc., which frequently has job openings for drivers.
We are happy to report that, after studying, completing the requirements and passing the tests, Chris successfully earned his CDL in June 2023.
Proud to have had the opportunity to earn his CDL, Chris says what he likes most about working at APAC-Alabama, Inc. is that there’s always something new to learn and do. He embraces the challenges and excitement of a job where no two days are exactly alike. Looking ahead to his future at APAC-Alabama, Inc., Chris says he wants to work his way up to become a shop superintendent or head mechanic.
And if he had to give someone a piece of advice about working at APAC-Alabama, Inc.? “Always do what you say you’re going to do. And always be 15 minutes early, no matter what.”
