PROJECT: ACOM PROJECT
LOCATION: DOTHAN, AL
COMPANY: COLLEGE OF OSTEOPATHIC MEDICINE
COMPLETION DATE: APRIL 2013
SUMMARY

The ground was broken on the construction site of the state’s first college of osteopathic medicine in January 2012. APAC-Alabama, Inc. commenced work at the start of the project, as a sub-contractor to the general contractor.

APAC-Alabama, Inc.’s responsibility included the general site work including clearing and grubbing, site grading, erosion control, water distribution systems, sanitary sewer system, storm drain system, curb and gutter pavement base, and asphalt paving. The work included providing 4,400 tons of hot mix asphalt.

We were also the contractor on  a new access road into the new college. Underground storm drainage, sewer, and water installation was completed by our subcontractor.

As the construction of the state’s first college of osteopathic medicine drew near completion, more than 100 people  committed to the school’s first class.  A new apartment building will be an option for their housing after July 15, 2013.
