ASPHALT CONTRACTORS ASSOCIATION OF FLORIDA – AP BOLTON AWARD 2011

Awarded for a project on SR8/I-10 from East of the Shoal River Bridge east to the Okaloosa/Walton County Line in Okaloosa County, FL. The A.P. Bolton Award, named in honor of the charter member of the Association who has done so much for the industry and whose reputation for quality work is his hallmark. It is the Association’s highest award on projects that have over 30,000 tons of asphalt.

Midsouth Aggregates’ new state-of-the-art quarry in Warren County, Georgia wins a Build South Award.

WARREN COUNTY QUARRY, CAMAK, GA WINS AN EXCELLENCE IN CONSTRUCTION AWARD 2011

Midsouth Aggregates’ new state-of-the-art Warren County Quarry has won an Associated Builders and Contractor’s Excellence in Construction Award for Construction Management in the Industrial category for contractors Brasfield and Gorrie LLC who managed the construction of the site. The award will be presented at an Awards dinner in Birmingham, AL in November 2011.

 DIAMOND ACHIEVEMENT COMMENDATION 2011

The National Asphalt Pavement Association’s Diamond Achievement Commendation focuses on the need for asphalt plants to be good neighbors and to have environmentally sound practices as well as plant practices that result in excellent product quality. The areas evaluated include Quality Management, RAP and Aggregate Handling, Asphalt Storage, Drying and Mixing, Air Quality, Truck Scales, Silos, and Control Rooms.
